Organic wine production is strongly framed by European regulations. These rules are common to all European Union members and are supplemented by national provisions.
An organic winemaker cultivates his vines without herbicide, systemic pesticide or chemical fertilizer. He fertilizes it with organic compost or green manure. The protection of the vineyard is provided by natural inputs such as cooper, sulfur and even herbal teas. Above all, the winegrower seeks to give back to his vines maximum autonomy thanks to a living soil, that will confer the wine its character and favor the expression of the terroir.
